Some of the links on this site are affiliate links. What this means is that if you use them to purchase the linked service or product, I may recieve a commission or some other type of credit.
Using affiliate links won’t cost you any extra, and will sometimes save you money if I find a deal I can link to.
There are three things you need to know about this:
- I have tried and/or discarded countless products, services or pieces of software. I know what works, and a lot of what doesn’t, and have always (long before I began using affiliate links) passed along my experienced recommendations to clients and also via relevant posts for visitors to this site or my Facebook or Twitter pages. Affiliate programs won’t change what I recommend…or what I recommend against.
- I have many helpful and heavily-trafficked posts on this blog, each of which represent hours of unpaid work. I like that my writing helps visitors to the simpler web solve problems, whether they’re clients of mine or not. But my hours at the keyboard are limited and valuable, and commissions help compensate me for some of them.
- I will only recommend products or services I have personally vetted and used for myself or a client. I won’t recommend products or services based on whether or not the company has an affiliate program. Those who’ve worked with me can vouch for the fact that when I make recommendations I refuse affiliate commissions because I don’t want there to be any doubt that I’m suggesting what’s best for them.
